Apple's create a page on their official website to checking the serial number of your ist Gen iPod Nano and order a replacement unit.Apple says that they replace your iPod Nano (1st Generation) with the new unit of iPod Nano (1st Generation) with no battery issues.So if you having 5 years old iPod Nano and you wants to replace it then this is the best time to replace it for free.

Submit your iPod Nano's serial number as they check that your iPod Nano is eligible for this replacement program or not.If your iPod Nano is selected for the replacement program then you will receive a replacement unit approximately 6 weeks after they receive your current iPod Nano (1st Gen).
