The heading of this article says most about this article.Yes today we are going to talk about World's first Aeroplane which is created/printed by a 3D printer and this plane is able to take a flight with a speed of 100mph.This is the world's first plane which is printed by 3D Printer.
This awesome research is done by the University of South Hampton, and the led of this research are Andy Keane, and Jim Scanlan. The Team of this university believes that the 3D printing will soon allow uncrewed aircraft known as drone's or UAV's to go from the drawing board to flight in a couple of days.
What Is 3D Printer.??
Basically first we have to know about what is 3D printer.?? The 3D printer is a additive technology where three dimensional object is created by laying down successive layers of material. All 3D printers are most affordable and easier to use and very much cheap from any other additive manufacturing technology. However the term 3D printing is increasingly being used to describe all additive manufacturing processes. The 3D printers offers the ability to all developers to print the parts and assemblies of any machinery with any material with a very fast speed, the part made from 3D printer is very durable and long lasting, and the cost of product is very much cheaper then any other additive manufacturing process.Advance 3D printing technologies yield models that can serve as product prototypes.
If we see a little past the 3D printers comes in existence before several years, but we see a good amount of sale of these 3D printers in 2003, whereas the cost of these 3D printers has declined. The technology also finds the use in the fields of jewelry, Footwear, Industrial Design, Architecture, Engineering and construction (AEC), automotive, aerospace, dental and medical industries, education, geographic information systems, civil engineering and etc.
How 3D Printer Works??
Over the internet you find many websites who tells you about how 3D printer works, but here on Technology Leisure i bring a very simple language which we all are able to under stand.Basically the functioning of a 3D printer is as same as your desktop or laserjet printers as you connect your printer with your PC or Laptop and then print your article, image or anything which you want on paper.
The Difference in both is if you working with 3D printer then you are able to print objects in real as like a magic.Lets take a example of V-Flash 3D Printer, This printer is a home based printer and for industrial use, this printer works as same as your laserjet printer or Deskjet printer.Connect this printer with your PC and create a 3D image in your PC and then Fill a 3D printer material "V-Flash FTI-GN", When your image is ready to print then just give a command and the printer starts its work and the object is created by laying down the successive layers of the material. The V-Flash printer is used to produce hard plastic parts with smooth surfaces, exceptional fine-feature detail, durable and balanced physical properties in the x/y/z directions and true to design part quality.
Aeroplane Created By Using 3D Printer
The first of its kind aeroplane was created by ground breaking new technology of 3D printer which has a max speed upto 100mph and has a two metre wingspan.
It was produced by using a special nylon laser printer that's build an item layer by layer.
The part of this plane were made separately and attached using a "Snap-fit" technique so the aircraft could be put together without using tools in minutes. No fasteners at all were used in the manufacturing of the plane.
Unmanned and electrically powered, the plane can cruise in near silence and also equipped with a miniature autopilot system.
The special production process is used to manufacture this plane is Laser sintering, and allows the designers to create shapes and structure that would normally involve costly manufacturing techniques. This technique is used in highly tailored aircraft to be developed from concept to first flight in days, whereas using conventional material's and techniques would take months.
And because no tooling is required in the plane for manufacturing, radical changes to the shape and scale of the aircraft can be made with no extra cost.
Now Lets see some videos of manufacturing of Plane and Bicycle by using of 3D printer for some more clarification.

I never thguhot I would find such an everyday topic so enthralling!
